An international shipment is more than a trip from A to B. It means choosing the mode of transport, the route, permits, transport and customs documents, securing the cargo and controlling every handover between the parties in the chain. The more complex the cargo, the more of these decisions have to be made before it leaves.
ETIKO coordinates international transport by road, air, sea and rail, as well as special cargo: dangerous goods under ADR, oversized and project cargo, multimodal routes and customs clearance. Each service below has its own page with the order of work, the rules and the list of documents.

How to choose the mode of transport
The mode is chosen on four criteria: the weight and dimensions of the cargo, the distance, the required transit time and the budget. A combination of several modes in one route often gives the best result.

What is needed for a quote
- Description of the goods, number of packages, weight and dimensions of each.
- Loading and delivery addresses, preferred dates.
- Incoterms, if already agreed.
- For dangerous goods, the UN number and safety data sheet; for oversized cargo, drawings with the center of gravity.
Before work starts, the parties sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement.
